This year's MAC Conference Championship Meet will be at Westminster Catawba's home course, Westminster Park (3916 India Hook Road, Rock Hill) on Thursday, October 15th.
Here is the schedule of races and other important information for that day.
2:45 6th Grade Race 2.0 miles (boys & girls together)
3:15 Sub-Varsity Race 3.1 miles (unlimited - boys and girls together)
4:00 Varsity Boys 3.1 miles (limited to top 7 boys)
4:30 Varsity Girls 3.1 miles (limited to top 7 girls)
5:30 Awards Ceremony (for the Championship Races)
Also, please inform your parents that we will be limiting the flow of traffic in and out of the park once the races begin. Specifically, once the Championship races begin (4:00) cars will not be allowed to drive in or out on the main road through the park. This will ensure the safety of the runners when they cross the road and limit the dust when they run alongside the road. There will be parking available near the entrance of the park for those who will need to leave before 5:15 and for those who enter the park after 4:00.
Finally, in order to stay on schedule and get everyone home at a reasonable time, we will be starting the races on time! This means we will not necessarily be waiting for the last runner of the previous race to finish before starting the next race. Please make sure your runners are ready to start at the times listed above.
